Elite Claims Management strongly believes in working closely with our clients to communicate accurate information about new state regulations affecting workers’ compensation insurance and to be available to answer any questions your staff may have. We offer on-site training for our client’s plan supervisors, human resources officers, risk managers, or other designated staff.
We provide a customized training program specifically aimed at helping you achieve your goals. Your staff will learn about all of the services we offer to help create a complete workers’ compensation program to benefit injured employees and help get him/her back to work quickly. We will also discuss many of the state guidelines for completing paperwork and notifying each party of any pending issues related to the claim.
Workers’ Compensation Claims Process
Employer’s Responsibilities for Reporting a Claim
- Within 24 hours of notice of claim, provide injured employee with the Workers’ Compensation Claim Form DWC-1
- Within 5 days of knowledge of injury, complete the Employer’s Report of Occupational Injury and Illness DWC-5020 form and send to carrier or third-party administrator along with any accident investigation report
- After employee completes the employee section of the DWC-1, the employer completes the form and sends to the insurance carrier or third-party administrator
